Welcome to Home Farm Primary School
Sowing the seeds of success and bringing learning to life
I believe that Home Farm Primary should be the first choice for all parents / carers to ensure their children experience a happy, healthy and productive start to their school lives. It is the school's ethos that every child that comes to us is entitled to receive the best education possible, in a caring, supportive and stimulating environment. The school works as a community to ensure that each child achieves their maximum potential, and that all children benefit from a truly rewarding and rounded educational experience. We invite parents to share the responsibility for their children's education by working together with us.
We love to meet prospective parents / carers and children in order that they can experience for themselves the exciting, progressive and happy environment we have to offer. We offer tours for all prospective parents and children looking to join us when spaces become available or for each new Reception class intake.
The governors, staff and I are dedicated in offering a school where safety is valued, world and community culture is explored with an overarching emphasis on learning through exciting opportunities. We are proud of our school and believe that we can offer all of our children the very best start in life. We hope the information on our website is useful for you. Our office staff are always willing and available to answer your queries. Come and visit us... we think you'll agree that Home Farm Primary School is a pretty special place for your child to be!
Friday 4th April is the last day of the spring term. The children return to school on Tuesday 22nd April. We wish all familes a safe and enjoyable Easter break.
Free School Meals
It is important for children to have a nutritious meal at lunchtime. Families on lower incomes may be eligible for Free School Meals. For more information about whether or not you might be eligible, take a look at this information on the Essex County Council website. You can apply for free school meals using Essex County Council's online application form accessible here.
School dinner menu
The week beginning Tuesday 22nd April is week 1 of our new summer menu. You can find the lunch menu and copies of the order forms here. School dinners cost £2 a day, which must be paid in advance or on the day the meal is taken.
Home Farm's donations arrive in Uganda
You may remember that in January this year we had a non-uniform day to gather items that we could send to an orphanage in Uganda. It was a project suggested by Tori in Year 4. Children wore non-uniform for the day and in return brought a colouring book, note book, pencils or toothbrush in to school as a donation. Our donations were taken to Uganda recently by a dental charity, and here you can see Tori's presentation which explains more about what happened next. Click on a picture to take a closer look.
